As part of the flagship initiative - #YogaSeHiHoga, Nick’s beloved characters Chikoo and Bunty, along with Sonic’s new character Bittu, showcased their yoga skills during the event, inspiring everyone to integrate yoga into their daily lives in a fun and engaging way.
During the International Yoga Day festivities, PM Modi, alongside Union Ministers, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu, and over 300,000 yoga enthusiasts, participated in a large-scale yoga session held near R.K. Beach and Kalikamatha Temple in Vizag.
Throughout the event, the Prime Minister delivered a heartfelt message about the comprehensive benefits of yoga, stating, “Yoga is the pause button that humanity needs to breathe, balance, and become whole again.”
In line with Nick and Sonic's commitment to promoting wellness among children, in 2019, the iconic Motu and Patlu were seen practicing yoga with the Prime Minister in Ranchi during yoga gatherings at “Yoga by the Bay.” The channel has also conducted virtual yoga sessions during the pandemic.
Furthermore, they continue to organize yoga competitions periodically to emphasize the significance of yoga.
Meanwhile, unveiling this year's World Yoga Day theme - Yoga for One Earth, One Health, PM Modi expressed during a broadcast of “Mann ki Baat,” “Now this day has transformed into a grand festival of yoga. This is a priceless gift from India to humanity, invaluable for future generations.”
“It fills us with pride that curiosity about our yoga and traditional medicine is surging globally. A significant number of youngsters are embracing yoga and Ayurveda as exceptional pathways to wellness,” the PM added.
