Mumbai, Sep 13 (NationPress) One of the leading producers in Bollywood, Boney Kapoor, had a meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Saturday.
Sharing a glimpse from their encounter, the office of CM Yogi Adityanath posted on their official X (formerly known as Twitter), stating, "Today, in Lucknow, esteemed film producer Shri @BoneyKapoor ji paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Shri @myogiadityanath ji Maharaj."
Dressed in a vibrant red kurta pajama, Boney was warmly received with a bouquet by the CM.
Additionally, it's noteworthy that Boney is a partner in the UP Film City. This ambitious project, situated in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area, aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a significant center for film production, media, entertainment, and tourism.
On Friday, Boney took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, sharing a throwback image of his late wife and Bollywood icon Sridevi. The photograph seemed to capture her in her late 20s.
The filmmaker frequently shares cherished memories of the superstar on social media. Just on September 3, he posted a picture of himself and Sridevi during one of their visits to Tirupati.
In this snapshot, the couple is seen seated on the temple steps of Tirupati. Sridevi dazzled in a pink silk saree, while Boney donned a traditional dhoti.
In his post, Boney wrote, “From one of our many trips to Tirupati BALAJI.”
For those unfamiliar, Boney and Sridevi's love story began on the sets of the 1987 film “Mr. India”. After dating for a while, they got married in 1996 and welcomed two daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.
Tragically, Sridevi passed away in February 2018 due to a sudden accident in Dubai.
