Mumbai, Feb 11 (NationPress) As they mark two decades of companionship, director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari took a nostalgic stroll through her memories, reflecting on the cherished journey alongside her filmmaker-husband Nitesh Tiwary.

Ashwiny shared a collection of images on her Instagram, capturing moments from their youthful days to the present. She also presented a glimpse of her “thin gold ring” that glimmers in the sun.

She expressed: “Circa 11th February 2005… What’s the budget for a ring? The maximum we can stretch is Rs 7000… Let’s head to Shoppers Stop and choose a ring. I’ll also check out a Nikon digital camera for you, as you adore photography. It’s slightly pricey, but we can manage.

“We’ve also acquired the TV, fridge, washing machine, and microwave on EMI. We can handle it.

Circa 11th February 2025 Twenty years on, a vintage camera filled with memories resides in the library, observing two lives evolving through life’s various challenges.

She added: “The TV, fridge, washing machine, and microwave have all been swapped out. The only thin gold ring with 11 zircon stones I possess has faded but still sparkles in the sun. It’s priceless. #everydaygratitude #floatingbyait.”

Ashwiny made her directorial debut with the comedy-drama Nil Battey Sannata in 2016, later directing its Tamil remake titled Amma Kanakku. She was honored with the Filmfare Award for Best Director for the romantic comedy-drama Bareilly Ki Barfi, which saw a re-release in 2025.

Nitesh debuted as a co-director in Chillar Party in 2011, which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film. He also directed the supernatural political drama Bhoothnath Returns.

His acclaimed film Dangal, released in 2016, became the highest-grossing Indian film and stands among the top-grossing non-English films globally, earning over Rs. 2,000 crore, including Rs. 1,200 crore in China. He followed this with the critically acclaimed comedy-drama film Chhichhore.
