Chennai, Dec 10 (NationPress) The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has officially granted approval to Nalan Kumarasamy’s highly anticipated commercial film 'Vaa Vaathiyaar', starring Karthi and Krithi Shetty, with a U/A certificate.
The movie is set to be released on December 12 this year.
Studio Green, the production company behind the film, announced the news on its X platform.

Alongside Karthi and Krithi Shetty, the film includes a talented ensemble cast featuring Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Anand Raj, Shilpa Manjunath, Karunakaran, G M Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, P L Thenappan, Vidhya Borgia, Nivas Adthitan, and Madhur Mittal.
Notably, Karthi portrays a police officer in this film, with Karunakaran as his subordinate. Krithi Shetty, making her Tamil cinema debut, plays a Gypsy spirit reader. Karthi also embodies a devoted fan of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M G Ramachandran.
A teaser released by the filmmakers showcases Karthi in an unprecedented look. In this teaser, he is seen stepping out of a police patrol car to join a lively group of dancers enjoying a rhythmic beat on the street, hinting that the film will be a full-fledged commercial entertainer rich in humor, romance, and action.
The film's cinematography is by George C Williams, with editing handled by Vetre Krishnan. The action sequences are choreographed by Anal Arasu, while dance choreography is by Sandy and Sharief.
