Los Angeles, Jan 22 (NationPress) Hollywood sensation Timothee Chalamet has achieved a remarkable milestone by receiving his third Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. This latest accolade comes for his portrayal of table tennis prodigy Marty Mauser in Josh Safdie’s sports dramedy, ‘Marty Supreme’.

The talented actor has made history as the youngest male artist to secure three acting nominations, reaching this feat at the age of 30, according to reports from Variety.

His earlier nominations included ‘Call Me by Your Name’, which made him the third-youngest nominee in the category at just 22 years old, and ‘A Complete Unknown’.

In this year's Best Actor lineup, Chalamet faces off against renowned names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, Michael B. Jordan, and Wagner Moura. Additionally, ‘Marty Supreme’ has garnered nominations for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay, among other categories.

Alongside his Best Actor nomination, Chalamet is also recognized for Best Picture as a producer, working with Eli Bush, Ronald Bronstein, Josh Safdie, and Anthony Katagas. At 30 years and 26 days, he is the youngest individual in history to be nominated for both producing and acting in the same year, breaking the previous record held by Warren Beatty for 58 years. Beatty was 30 years, 10 months, and 20 days old when he earned nominations for 'Bonnie and Clyde' in 1967.

Additionally, he received nominations for directing and screenplay. Chalamet also made history by winning the Golden Globe for Best Actor (Comedy or Musical) on January 11 for his role in ‘Marty Supreme’, becoming the youngest winner in that category ever. Last year, he claimed the Best Actor award at The Actor Awards (formerly the SAG Awards) for his performance as Bob Dylan in James Mangold’s ‘A Complete Unknown’, where, at 29, he became the youngest recipient of that SAG honor.

If Timothee Chalamet wins the Oscar, he would become the second-youngest Best Actor winner in history, following Adrien Brody, who was 29 when he won for ‘The Pianist’. He would be the sixth youngest male acting winner in any category, trailing behind Brody, Timothy Hutton, George Chakiris, and Heath Ledger.
