Los Angeles, March 17 (NationPress) Hollywood actress Christina Ricci reveals that the dark and rebellious persona of Wednesday Addams has significantly shaped her life and career.
The 45-year-old star first embodied Wednesday Addams in the 1991 film ‘The Addams Family’ at just 11 years old and later took on the role of a teacher in the 2022 Netflix series ‘Wednesday.’
In an interview with Britain’s HELLO! magazine, she stated: “Wednesday is still the character I’m most recognized for. I spent a great deal of my childhood portraying her, and she has profoundly influenced my career.
Ricci expressed that she continues to feel “very influenced by her.”
I spent a significant amount of time connecting with her, and I’m delighted that Wednesday remains a vital part of my life.”
Currently, the actress stars as adult Misty Quigley in the series ‘Yellowjackets,’ which explores the lives of teenage survivors of a 1996 plane crash and their subsequent lives in 2021. She finds the role to be extremely “fun,” according to reports from femalefirst.co.uk.
She explained: “Misty is the most enjoyable character to portray; she’s incredibly arrogant. It’s almost as if she doesn’t consider herself a real human being. She believes she can do anything and evade the consequences.”
Ricci also mentioned that the ongoing third season of the show is quite “intense.”
She stated: “(Season three) unveils even more of the mystery surrounding the survivors and their current situations. Expect numerous twists and surprises. It’s wild, frightening, and intense. Without revealing too much, I can say the body count is exceptionally high.”
The actress feels confident about her survival skills should she ever find herself in the wilderness.
She remarked: “I enjoy watching survival TV shows, so I like to think I would manage well. I love ‘Naked and Afraid,’ which has taught me that when you have absolutely nothing, the first step is to find shoes.”
