Daniel Craig Discusses the Fascinating Nature of 'Male Vulnerability'

Los Angeles, Dec 9 (NationPress) Hollywood actor Daniel Craig expressed that male vulnerability is interesting and shared his feelings of pride in being an actor.
Male vulnerability captivates me because, despite the tough exterior that men often present, there lies an inherent vulnerability in everyone. We all conceal aspects of ourselves—from our children, partners, and coworkers. The protective shell of masculinity exists for a reason, and I’m intrigued by that reason. I constantly delve into it, Craig stated in an interview with The Sunday Times, as reported by femalefirst.co.uk.
Craig stars in the cinematic adaptation of William S. Burroughs' 1985 novel 'Queer' and expressed his desire to receive an Oscar nomination for his role in the film.
When asked about the importance of recognition, Daniel said: “Absolutely! It would mean the world to me to receive a nomination. It’s intimidating. Awards can be fleeting, but I can’t deny that it’s significant to me.”
“Years ago, I learned how arbitrary this process can be. It became disheartening to face rejection after rejection, leading you to question your abilities. There’s little you can do about it—it’s largely a matter of chance. So, it’s essential to let go of that pressure. Now, for me, it’s all about the experience.”
Daniel also noted that he feels proud to be an actor, emphasizing that it is a valuable profession.
“I continually seek practical solutions to the challenge of performing and seeking attention, which is essentially what acting is all about. It’s a declaration of, ‘Look at me! Love me!’ You have to embrace that, despite the common perception of actors as ‘just silly people.’ I’m proud of my craft, and it’s vital that individuals pursue what I do.”
Craig rose to global fame as the fictional secret agent James Bond, starring in five installments of the series: Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time to Die.
