Mumbai, June 23 (NationPress) Actor Darsheel Safary and filmmaker Abhinay Deo have united for their inaugural OTT venture, "Gamerlog". Interestingly, both share a significant bond with Aamir Khan.
Darsheel made his debut in acting with Aamir's "Taare Zameen Par" as a child artist, while Abhinay collaborated with him on "Delhi Belly", where Aamir served as the producer during its direction. Now, this actor-director duo embarks on their first OTT journey with "Gamerlog".
In an exclusive interview with IANS, they discussed their learnings from Aamir.
Darsheel expressed, "We've always kept in touch, and he has consistently mentioned that his blessings are with us - both Abhinay sir and myself. It's a remarkable twist of fate, as Abhinay's first major film was 'Delhi Belly' featuring Aamir, and my entry into acting was also through Aamir's film. Now, we are creating our first OTT series together. It feels like a narrative worth telling, reaffirming my belief that a higher power is scripting our stories, and if we pursue them passionately, everything aligns."
Abhinay remarked, "Having such an experienced individual as Aamir in my debut film as a producer was invaluable. The lessons I’ve garnered from him extend beyond the film industry to life itself. Thus, our learning journey inspired by him will always continue."
Earlier, Darsheel shared his approach to embodying the character Raghu in "Gamerlog", emphasizing the importance of reconnecting with a raw, aspirational mindset where dreams overshadow reality.
"The only thing that matters is the goal you are striving to achieve, and as long as you are taking steps towards it, everything is on track. I aimed to immerse myself in that mindset to bring Raghu to life. I felt a strong connection to his innocence, which was pure rather than naive. He is determined to do whatever it takes to achieve his dreams, and I resonated deeply with that aspect of his personality," Darsheel recounted.
