Mumbai, Sep 18 (NationPress) The producers of “Kalki 2898 AD” have officially declared that actress Deepika Padukone will not feature in the forthcoming sequel, stating that the epic mythological science-fiction film requires “commitment and much more.”
The announcement was made by Vyjayanthi Movies, the film's production house, via X, previously known as Twitter.
“A film like @Kalki2898AD truly deserves that commitment and much more. This is to formally announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel to #Kalki2898AD,” the tweet stated.
The tweet further elaborated: “After thoughtful consideration, we have agreed to part ways. Despite a long journey creating the first film, we could not find a partnership. A film like @Kalki2898AD indeed deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”
