Bollywood sensation Deepika Padukone has finally addressed the intense criticism directed at her for not endorsing her husband, Ranveer Singh's blockbuster film, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.
Deepika disclosed that she had watched Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge long before anyone else, taking a jab at the social media post asking, "Now who is the joke on?"
The post in question conducted a poll, querying whether her lack of promotion during the movie's campaign was a case of "over analyzing" or a "calculated snub."

Previously, the actress had remained silent amid the trolling surrounding her perceived indifference towards the film's success, but she has now reacted to an Instagram post questioning her absence.
For those unaware, Deepika had ignited a considerable social media discussion after she missed the special screening of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.
She was, however, seen attending a concert in Mumbai with her husband, which raised further questions.
Many social media users criticized her absence from the film's screening, contrasting it with her other public appearances.
One user commented, "Deepika Padukone with her in-laws today at a private event in Mumbai. But did you guys see Deepika watching Dhurandhar: The Revenge? NO!! Why can't she support her husband's film? I'm not against Deepika, but something is very fishy."
Additionally, Deepika has faced online backlash for not sharing any supportive posts for Ranveer Singh or Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge on her social media.
One user pointed out, "Deepika Padukone wrote lengthy posts on Instagram about Gaza and JNU, but didn't post a single story to congratulate her husband Ranveer Singh and the Dhurandhar 2 cast on their success. A lot to unpack there!"
Another user speculated, "Perhaps she doesn't want to upset SRK and jeopardize any future projects with him."
A user also questioned her past involvement with JNU, stating, "Isn't she a supporter and spokesperson for JNU?"
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge was released on March 19, yet almost three weeks later, Deepika has not posted any promotional content on her social media in support of the film or her husband.
During the phenomenal success of the first part of Dhurandhar in December 2025, Deepika was very vocal in praising both the film and Ranveer Singh's performance through various posts on her account.
As for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, the film, featuring Ranveer Singh, premiered on March 19 and continues to perform well at the box office.
