Chennai, Mar 28 (NationPress) Shibu Thameens, the producer of director S U Arun Kumar’s thrilling action entertainer Veera Dheera Sooran, starring Chiyaan Vikram in the leading role, has clarified that the postponement of the film’s release was not caused by any financial issues faced by the producers, as rumored on social media.

Producer Shibu Thameens, who is now feeling relieved with the film on its path to becoming a significant success, took to X to detail the reasons behind the delay in the film’s release.

He stated, “Apologies to #Vikram sir #SUArunkumar the crew, distributors, exhibitors, fans, and the entire audience for the delay in release. To clarify and stop the rumors, this is not due to producers’ financial issues. The OTT right holder (outright sale) was unable to sell their rights before the theatrical release. To safeguard their investment, #VDS was halted at the last moment and renegotiated. Thanks to everyone who stepped in and supported wholeheartedly, especially #kathiresan (TFPC) #Arulpathy (TFAPA). Thank God #VeeraDheeraSooran2 is making huge noise. (sic)”

Fans and the general audience were disappointed on Thursday as the film’s morning and noon shows had to be canceled following a court order that prohibited the makers from releasing the film.

This court order was issued in response to a plea filed by the production company B4U concerning specific issues it had with the production house HR Pictures.

However, by Thursday evening, the producers, HR Pictures, resolved the issue and announced that theatrical screenings for the film had commenced worldwide.

‘Veera Dheera Sooran’, featuring a stellar cast that includes Chiyaan Vikram, S.J. Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Dushara Vijayan, saw its second part released first.

With cinematography by Theni Eswar, music composed by G V Prakash Kumar, and editing by G.K. Prasanna, the film also boasts art direction by C.S. Balachandar. Riya Shibu of HR Pictures is producing this edge-of-the-seat action thriller.
