Chennai, Sep 25 (NationPress) Actor and director Dhanush has revealed a humorous tale of how his elder brother, acclaimed director Selvaraghavan, deceived him during their childhood cricket matches.

During a pre-release gathering for his upcoming movie 'Idli Kadai', Dhanush shared, "As a child, I had my mischievous moments, but my brother Selvaraghavan was even more mischievous. Although he was quite shy around others, at home, he was a handful."

The actor jested, "Being eight years older, he towered over me. He would invite me to play cricket, and somehow always manage to win the toss, opting to bat first. As a younger kid, I struggled to get him out. I would bowl for hours, and just when I finally succeeded, he would drop the bat and run away, leaving me with little chance to bat myself!"

Dhanush continued, "We often had coins of ten paise, twenty paise, twenty-five paise, and fifty paise. I would save them, hoping to buy snacks. But just as my savings reached four or five Rupees, he would steal my money. Clearly, he was the more mischievous one of the two!"

For those unaware, Dawn Pictures, the production house behind the film, had initially set the release date for April 10 of this year but has since rescheduled it to October 1.

In 'Idli Kadai', Arun Vijay portrays the antagonist alongside Shalini Pandey. Dhanush himself directed the film, which features him and Nithya Menon in lead roles. The film is co-produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and Dawn Pictures, with cinematography by Kiran Koushik and music by G V Prakash.
