Mumbai, Dec 11 (NationPress) Actress Dia Mirza, who celebrated her 44th birthday on December 9, shared her reflections on this year's festivities, describing the day as “slow, mindful, simply magical” as she enjoyed the company of her family amidst nature.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Dia shared a series of photos, highlighting one of the most cherished moments of her day: celebrating her birthday alongside her father, Rajiv Nath Rekhi, whom she referred to as “an honour”.

The actress also included delightful family moments with her husband Vaibhav and their son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi, alongside images of dancing trees, visiting birds, and lush greenery.

In her caption, she expressed, “The most wonderful birthday celebration with family. Slow, mindful, simply magical! Papa @rajivnathrekhi sharing my birthday with you is such an honour.”

Dia extended her gratitude to her husband, Vaibhav, for making the day “special and memorable”, acknowledging the effort he put into the celebrations with a message: “Thank you husband for making our celebrations so special and memorable @vaibhav.rekhi.”

This year felt particularly significant for her, as she was surrounded by loved ones.

She concluded with a heartfelt note: “This year was all the more special with you both @asyouwisha @ishvkhanna.”

Dia and Vaibhav tied the knot in February 2021 and welcomed their baby boy Avyaan on May 14 of the same year, who was born prematurely and spent two months in the NICU.

Recently, Dia appeared in Nadaaniyan, a teen romantic comedy directed by Shauna Gautam, featuring stars like Ibrahim Ali Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Mahima Chaudhry, Suniel Shetty, and Jugal Hansraj.

The film narrates the story of a privileged South Delhi schoolgirl who hires a boyfriend to retaliate against her family and peers.

Dia was crowned Miss Asia Pacific International in 2000 after winning the title of Femina Miss India Asia Pacific. She made her acting debut with the Hindi film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein in 2001.
