Los Angeles, Jan 13 (NationPress) In a surprising revelation, Hollywood star Matt Damon disclosed that his wife, Luciana Barroso, considered Ben Affleck as "the cute one" in ‘Good Will Hunting’ long before they even crossed paths.

The couple, who met at a bar in Miami, Florida, in 2003, shared their relationship journey during a recent appearance on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show. Matt, at 55 years old, recounted how, a few months into dating Luciana, he learned from her best friend that Luciana had found Ben, aged 53, attractive. This was reported by ‘Female First UK’.

Matt humorously noted, "This is f** completely true. After we'd been together for a little while, probably a few months, she admitted that she and her best friend from high school went to see ‘Good Will Hunting’ together. While her friend thought I was the cute one, she thought Ben was the cute one.”

He added, “So she confessed this to me. I'm like, 'You got the wrong one?'. She told me that 23 years ago.”

As per 'Female First UK', Matt mentioned that the notion of Luciana, who is producing Matt and Ben's new film, ‘The Rip’, once considering Ben "cute" didn’t linger in his mind.

Ben responded, "She's a fantastic producer and a wonderful friend, and I never felt that vibe from her. I think something I did in real life changed that perception.”

Matt tied the knot with Luciana in a private ceremony in Manhattan, New York, in December 2005, stating, "Eventually, she met him and all that went away.”

During their segment on The Howard Stern Show, Ben spoke about witnessing the beautiful bond between Matt and Luciana, emphasizing their strong friendship and partnership. Ben, who was married to actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2015, shared, "It's a truly beautiful marriage and friendship. I sense it's only gotten better over the years.”

As the conversation wrapped up, Ben, who married singer Jennifer Lopez in 2022 but separated in 2024, joked about asking Luciana for her friend's number to complete the circle. Matt, who has daughters Alexia (25), Isabella (19), Gia (17), and Stella (15) with Luciana, along with being a stepdad to Alexia (27) from Luciana's previous marriage, humorously pointed out, "She's married.”
