Diljit Dosanjh Addresses Ticket Black Marketing for His Concerts

Mumbai, Dec 8 (NationPress) Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh, who graced the stage in Indore on Sunday, has voiced his concerns regarding the issue of black marketing of concert tickets.

The actor-singer expressed that it is the people and opportunists who engage in this practice, and it is unfair to hold the artist accountable.

He stated, “For a long time, individuals in our country have been accusing me of the tickets being sold in black. It is not my responsibility if the tickets are being resold at inflated prices. If someone buys a ticket for Rs. 10 and sells it for Rs. 100, how is that the artist’s fault? I recall a poem by Rahat Indori.”

He proceeded to recite the poem, mentioning, “Not in my cage, place it elsewhere. You’ve brought the sky, fine, you may place it on the ground. Sir, where will you seek my killers now? Sir, where will you seek my killers now? Just blame me for everything. So, media folks, feel free to blame me as much as you wish. I am not afraid of being defamed. I hold no tension.”

“This is not a new phenomenon; since the inception of cinema in India, black marketing of tickets has been prevalent, though the methods have evolved,” he added.

Earlier that day, the actor-singer shared a delightful video on his Instagram, showcasing himself relishing local street food, Poha, in the early morning. As the crowd grew, Diljit was seen interacting with his fans and even met a group of cyclists, expressing his gratitude for their unwavering support.
