Diljit Dosanjh Clarifies His Choice of Spelling 'Panjab' Over 'Punjab'

Mumbai, Dec 16 (NationPress) The Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, who has been achieving great success with his Dil-Luminati tour across India, has addressed the supposed "conspiracy" concerning his use of the spelling 'Panjab' for the Indian state of Punjab.

On Monday, while in Kashmir, the actor-singer took to his X account, formerly known as Twitter, to elaborate on the situation. He shared a detailed note discussing the complexities of the English language, especially for those whose first language is not English.

He stated, "Punjabi. If I inadvertently forgot to include India's flag after typing 'Panjab' in a tweet, it turns into a conspiracy. In a tweet from Bengaluru, I neglected to mention the Indian flag after using 'Panjab', and it became a conspiracy."

He elaborated, "Writing 'Panjab' instead of 'Punjab' will still denote 'Punjab'. Panj Aab - 5 Rivers. Kudos to those who conjure conspiracies around English language usage. You know what, I will continue to write 'Panjab'. How many times do we need to demonstrate our LOVE FOR INDIA? Bring something new to the table, or is creating conspiracies what you earn your living from? #Vehley"

Earlier, the actor-singer, who recently performed in Chandigarh, announced that he would refrain from organizing live events in India until the concert infrastructure is improved to enhance the experience for attendees.

Numerous clips of the actor-singer have gone viral on social media, where he discusses the necessity for better infrastructure for live performances in India.

In one of the clips, he expressed, "Here we lack the necessary infrastructure for live shows. This is a significant source of revenue, providing work for many individuals. Next time, I will try to ensure that the stage is centrally located so that everyone can enjoy it. Until this gets sorted, I won't hold shows in India."
