Mumbai, Jan 28 (NationPress) Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh is embracing tranquility. The actor-singer, whose Dil-Luminati Tour has become a phenomenal success worldwide, is relishing some well-deserved leisure time following the enthusiastic reception to his live performances.

On Tuesday, Diljit shared moments from his adventure in nature on his Instagram Stories, captioning one video with “Jungle mein mangal”.

Previously, the multi-talented artist unveiled the first look of his upcoming film ‘Punjab '95’. He posted a series of images showcasing his character from the movie on Instagram.

In his caption, he boldly stated, “I Challenge the Darkness. Punjab 95”.

This film is inspired by the real-life story of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who was the director of a bank in Amritsar, Punjab, during a tumultuous period of militancy. After Operation Blue Star, the assassination of Indira Gandhi, and the subsequent 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots, police forces were granted excessive power to detain anyone they suspected as a terrorist.

Allegations surfaced against the police regarding the extrajudicial killings of unarmed individuals in fake encounters, including the incineration of countless bodies to mask these crimes. Khalra was examining four significant cases simultaneously, diligently gathering evidence and testimonies.

The Central Board of Film Certification in India had initially suggested 120 cuts to the filmmakers. The film's release faced uncertainty due to its sensitive subject matter. Nevertheless, with Diljit’s soaring popularity and international acclaim, it appears the film may finally be released.

In other news, Diljit recently met with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in the capital city, where they discussed various topics, and Diljit even performed for the PM.
