Diljit Dosanjh Sets Conditions for Future Concerts in India

Mumbai, Dec 16 (NationPress) The renowned Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh, whose performances during the India phase of the Dil-Luminati tour have captivated audiences, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the current concert infrastructure in India.
During a recent show in Chandigarh, he announced that he would refrain from organizing live performances in India until the infrastructure is improved, ensuring a more rewarding experience for concert-goers.
Numerous videos have circulated on social media showcasing Diljit discussing the urgent need for enhancements to the live concert infrastructure in India.
In one of these clips, he stated, "Here we lack infrastructure for live shows. This represents a significant revenue source, providing employment opportunities for many. I will strive to ensure that the stage is centrally located so that all attendees can enjoy the performance. Until these changes occur, I will certainly not perform in India again."
Diljit dedicated his concert in Chandigarh to Gukesh Dommaraju, the newly-crowned International Chess Federation (FIDE) World Champion. He praised Gukesh's dedication to his craft. He also shared a clip from the concert on his Instagram, referencing a famous line from Allu Arjun's movie 'Pushpa': "Jhukega Nahi (won't bow)" while humorously adding, "If he won't bow, then will his brother-in-law?"
The need for improved infrastructure for live shows in India is pressing. As one of the largest consumer markets, India attracts numerous global artists. Unfortunately, earlier incidents, such as playback singer KK's tragic cardiac arrest after performing at a crowded venue in south Kolkata, have highlighted the ongoing issues of inadequate infrastructure and planning for live events in the country.
