Discover the Destination Shah Rukh Khan Longed to Explore with His Father

Mumbai, Dec 20 (NationPress) Actor Shah Rukh Khan once revealed that he never traveled to Kashmir because his late father requested he not visit without him.
An old video of SRK making this emotional disclosure has emerged online. During a past episode of Amitabh Bachchan’s game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, Khan explained why he had never set foot in Kashmir. In the clip, the actor expressed, “My father’s mother was from Kashmir. My father advised me that in life, I should ensure to visit Istanbul, Rome, and Kashmir at least once, regardless of whether he is present or not. However, you may travel to the other two without me, but do not go to Kashmir without my company.”
Shah Rukh continued, “Unfortunately, he passed away quite young. I have traveled all around the globe, but I have never been to Kashmir. I had many chances to go; friends invited me, and my family even vacationed there, but I never went. This was because my father specifically told me not to see Kashmir without him, as he wanted to show it to me himself.”
SRK’s father, Mir Taj Mohammed Khan, succumbed to cancer when Shah Rukh was just a teenager, and his mother, Lateef Fatima Khan, passed away a decade later when he was only 24.
Shah Rukh Khan finally made his debut visit to Kashmir in 2012 while filming for his movie “Jab Tak Hai Jaan.” Prior to his arrival in Kashmir, Khan tweeted, “Dark clouds...wet roads...too early for even life to feel alive...but I am on my way to make movies. A cigarette and coffee as co-travelers.”
Reports indicate that Shah Rukh Khan also shot scenes for his film “Dunki” in Kashmir.
