Shah Rukh Khan Celebrates Rajinikanth's Birthday with Heartfelt Wishes

Mumbai, Dec 13 (NationPress) Renowned Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, recently featured in the Rajkumar Hirani film ‘Dunki’, has extended his warmest birthday greetings to the iconic Tamil cinema figure.

In a nod to Thalaivar, who was acknowledged in his 2013 production ‘Chennai Express’, SRK took to his X account, formerly known as Twitter, to share a nostalgic picture. The image captures both stars seated together at a public gathering.

The actor expressed, “To the coolest of the cool. The bossest of all the bosses. The man, the legend, and an absolutely remarkably simple man, despite being the Superest of Stars!! Sir, thank you for inspiring us. Stay healthy and know you are immensely respected and loved. Enjoy your special day @rajinikanth sir (sic).”

Just last month, King Khan marked his 59th birthday on November 2. He transitioned into the film industry following a brief period in television, leveraging the opening of India's economy, and effortlessly shifted from playing darker roles to becoming the king of romance. SRK is undeniably the face of Indian cinema globally, boasting numerous honorary doctorate degrees, a Padma Shri, and the French Legion of Honour.

The actor played a pivotal role in revitalizing the Hindi film industry, which had been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, despite a series of consecutive hits with ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, his recent film ‘Dunki’ faced a challenging reception. The collaboration between one of modern Hindi cinema's most successful filmmakers and one of the biggest global stars yielded a more subdued box office performance. The film competed with Prabhas' ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ around the same period last year.

Both films ultimately struggled due to the competition, unlike the recent box-office face-off between Ajay Devgn's ‘Singham Again’ and Kartik Aaryan's ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
