Mumbai, Dec 29 (NationPress) The iconic Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, who was last featured in ‘Jawan’, made his way back to Mumbai from Alibaug on Sunday with his family.

The superstar opted for an incognito style, covering his face with a large hoodie while carrying his pet dog. His wife Gauri Khan and their children were spotted alongside him at the Gateway Of India.

Recently, the renowned actor celebrated his 59th birthday on November 2. After a brief period in television, he successfully transitioned into cinema, taking advantage of India's economic opening, and evolved from playing grey characters to becoming the ultimate romantic hero. SRK is undeniably recognized as the face of Indian cinema globally, holding several honorary doctorate degrees, a Padma Shri, and the French Legion of Honour.

He played a crucial role in revitalizing the Hindi film industry following the commercial downturn caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, his recent success streak with ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ faced challenges with ‘Dunki’. This collaboration between one of the most renowned filmmakers and a global superstar received a lukewarm box-office reception.

The film was released around the same time as ‘Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’, starring Prabhas, which also faced repercussions from this clash, unlike the recent successful box-office competition between Ajay Devgn's ‘Singham Again’ and Kartik Aaryan's ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.

Meanwhile, SRK and Gauri Khan's eldest son, Aryan Khan, is set to make his directorial debut with a streaming series. This series is themed around the Hindi film industry.

The multi-genre endeavor promises a candid depiction of cinema through the journey of an ambitious outsider exploring the vibrant streets of B-town. It incorporates a high-stakes storyline infused with self-aware humor, featuring cameos and larger-than-life personas.

This forthcoming series marks the sixth partnership between Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment after the successful dark comedy film ‘Darlings’, the crime-drama ‘Bhakshak’, the cop-drama ‘Class of ’83’, the zombie horror series ‘Betaal’, and the spy thriller ‘Bard of Blood’.

Produced by Gauri Khan, this series represents Aryan Khan's debut as a creator and director, and is scheduled to stream on Netflix in 2025.
