How is Dolly Chawla's Role in ‘Tumm Se Tumm Tak’ Different from Her Real Life?

Mumbai, July 30 (NationPress) TV actress Dolly Chawla has shared insights about her role in “Tumm Se Tumm Tak,” revealing that her character significantly diverges from her actual personality.

She described the experience of portraying such a distinct character as both challenging and thrilling, offering her the chance to delve into new facets of her craft. Discussing her role, Chawla explained, “I’m portraying Meera, who oversees everything concerning Arya—his office duties, meals, medications, and more. She becomes irritated when someone else gets close to Arya or when he gives them attention. With Anu’s arrival at the office, Meera is feeling jealousy. She ignores everyone except her boss.”

“Fans have appreciated my past performances, and I hope they extend that same affection to Meera, even if they end up disliking her. I believe every character presents a challenge—it's only through this that you genuinely enjoy the role. Every part demands effort. This character is a stark contrast to my real self, which adds to the excitement. It takes time to observe and adjust, but I’m relishing the experience.”

Revealing her reasons for joining the show, Dolly stated, “When I received a call from the production team, I was overjoyed. This production house feels like family to me, and I adore them. Upon hearing about Meera, I was thrilled. They also informed me that this show has been produced in seven languages, so there’s certainly pressure to deliver a compelling performance.”

“Moreover, it’s fantastic news that the show is now being adapted in Hindi. I’ve tackled negative roles in the past, but this one is particularly demanding—Meera is authoritative and domineering, which sets her apart,” she added.

Set against the backdrop of an age-gap romance between Arya and Anu, “Tumm Se Tumm Tak” delves into the emotional journey of two characters at different life stages. Discussing the narrative, the actress mentioned, “In real life, age gaps in relationships are prevalent. Love evolves gradually. Even when an age difference exists, you take your time to determine if the person is right for you. This is precisely the case for Anu and Arya. Their relationship doesn’t start with an immediate ‘I love you’. The plot unfolds gradually, layer by layer. Age is merely a number.”
