Mumbai, April 15 (NationPress) Following its success in the U.S., the highly praised miniseries, 'Fellow Travelers', is poised for its debut in India shortly.

Prime Video has confirmed that the series will be available for streaming in India starting April 17.

This beloved period drama is crafted by Ron Nyswaner and directed by Uta Briesewitz, Destiny Ekaragha, James Kent, and Daniel Minahan.

'Fellow Travelers' boasts an impressive cast led by Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey, alongside Jelani Alladin, Linus Roache, Noah J. Ricketts, and Allison Williams.

Heralded as an epic love story intertwined with political intrigue, the miniseries depicts the secret romance between two distinct men who cross paths in McCarthy-era Washington. Bomer portrays the charming Hawkins Fuller, who enjoys a lucrative yet discreet career in politics. Hawkins shuns emotional commitments until he encounters Tim Laughlin (Bailey), a young man filled with idealism and deep religious convictions.

As their romance unfolds, the backdrop of Joseph McCarthy and Roy Cohn's campaign against “subversives and sexual deviants” sets the stage for one of the darkest chapters in 20th-century American history. Spanning four decades, we follow five central characters – Hawk, Tim, Marcus (Alladin), Lucy (Williams), and Frankie (Ricketts) – as their lives intertwine through the Vietnam War protests of the 1960s, the drug-fueled disco culture of the 1970s, and the AIDS crisis of the 1980s, all while confronting personal and external barriers.

The series is co-produced by Fremantle and SHOWTIME, with international distribution handled by Paramount Global Content Distribution.

Adapted from Thomas Mallon’s 2007 novel of the same name, this drama first premiered on October 29, 2023, on Showtime, followed by a release on Paramount on October 27.

The eight-episode series features editing by Christopher Donaldson and Wendy Hallam Martin, with cinematography by Simon Dennis and Ronald Plante.
