Mumbai, Nov 23 (NationPress) Actress Girija Oak, who is preparing for the launch of her forthcoming streaming series ‘Perfect Family’, emphasizes the significance of having informed and socially conscious parents for children's well-being.
On Sunday, the production team of ‘Perfect Family’ unveiled a new teaser featuring the actress, who portrays Neeti Karkaria in the show. The series also features Manoj Pahwa, Seema Pahwa, Neha Dhupia, and Gulshan Devaiah, focusing on themes surrounding childhood experiences.
Discussing this topic, the actress stated, “It’s fascinating how childhood trauma is viewed. While experiencing it, you often don’t realize it; you’re just managing situations as best as you can. Every parent has an understanding of what is beneficial or harmful for their child, yet we frequently become entangled in concerns about others’ opinions. If you can eliminate that and prioritize your kids, you’ll recognize what to permit and what not to. Hence, the onus is on the adult, who possesses the foresight and emotional stability to grasp how certain experiences may influence a child. With more enlightened and emotionally aware parents today, significantly fewer individuals will require therapy for childhood trauma later on.”
When asked about her motivation for joining the project, Girija remarked, “This subject holds immense significance, irrespective of its nature. As I read the script penned by Pallath, it felt like immersing myself in a book after a long time. I became engrossed, and by the second or third episode, it was as engaging as reading a novel. When delivering unpleasant truths, it’s essential to present them appealingly, and the script achieves this effectively, being both entertaining and relatable, guiding you through experiences that resonate with the narrative. The themes are crucial and articulated exceptionally well, which is truly commendable. This medium necessitates engagement, and the script is compelling and thrilling, making it irresistible.”
Reflecting on her filming journey, she added, “By the time we reached the therapy scene, we had already filmed extensively, making us quite comfortable. At that point, we were genuinely embodying a family. We shared inside jokes and had a blast.”
‘Perfect Family’ is produced by Ajay Rai of JAR Pictures, with Mohit Chhabra and Pankaj Tripathi making their producer debuts. The series is crafted by Palak Bhambri and directed by Sachin Pathak.
The show is set to premiere on November 27, 2025, on the JAR Series YouTube channel.
