Hollywood actress Halle Bailey has opened up about the joys and challenges of raising her two-year-old son Halo, saying she is focused on nurturing a child who is 'loving, kind, and aware.' Bailey, who shares Halo with former partner DDG, was candid about her parenting philosophy. 'I guess I'm just trying to raise someone who's loving, who's kind, who is aware, who's intuitive. And he's all of those things. I'm just hoping I'm doing my best,' she told the magazine.

She described Halo as her 'biggest blessing,' adding that the cuddles are her favourite part of motherhood. 'He is a very clingy, like cuddly boy,' she said, painting a warm picture of their bond.

'The mommy community that I have is very strong and talking to those women is so special and hearing advice on how you can balance your career and motherhood is amazing,' she said.

She emphasised that having a community is not optional but essential. 'I think it's essential to have a village of people that can help you because when you're trying to do so many things or have so many hats on, it gets a lot at times. But it's really beautiful,' she added.

Halo as Her Daily Motivation

Bailey revealed that her son is the driving force behind her professional ambitions. 'I feel grateful that I am able to do something for my baby and have a career and work for him. Like today I'm here. I'm like, that's my motivation. I'm doing this for my baby for our future,' she said.

She also described the small, everyday moments that keep her grounded. 'He's at the phase where, well, he's a mommy's boy, he's very clingy. But when I leave, he'll hold my face, kiss me goodbye and be like, bye-bye, mommy. It's just very encouraging. I feel like I have a little person rooting for me every day,' Bailey shared.
