Hollywood actress Hailee Steinfeld has opened up about one of the most profound shifts that early motherhood has brought her — a renewed commitment to unconditional self-love, and the realisation that her daughter will mirror the way she sees herself.

During an Ask Me Anything session through her newsletter community, Beau Society, a fan asked Steinfeld what her daughter had already taught her, despite being so young. Her answer was candid and reflective.

'One of the most unexpected things I've learned from my daughter is the importance of modeling unconditional self-love,' Steinfeld said. 'I'm obviously still learning what that looks like in practice, but during these early stages of motherhood, specifically with raising a daughter, I've realised that how I see myself is how she'll see herself. It's that simple.'

The Arrival of Their Baby Girl

Steinfeld and her husband, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, announced the arrival of their baby girl on 2 April through a Substack post titled 'Special Delivery.' 'Our baby girl has arrived!!' Steinfeld wrote at the time. 'We're feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments.'

The couple had first revealed their pregnancy in December, when Steinfeld included a video in a newsletter published in honour of her 29th birthday — a clip showing her cradling her baby bump in the snow while Allen kissed her stomach.
