Hyderabad, Sep 23 (NationPress) The creators of director Sujeeth's highly anticipated action spectacle, ‘They Call Him OG’, featuring actor Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, have unveiled the character name and appearance of Tamil actor Harish Uthaman on Tuesday, bringing joy to fans and cinema enthusiasts alike.

DVV Entertainment, the production company behind this much-anticipated film, shared on their social media platforms, "The canvas of #TheyCallHimOG is primed to amaze you. Presenting Bhadra & Dheenanath."

Harish Uthaman, who portrays the character Dheenanath, expressed his gratitude to director Sujeeth for the opportunity by posting the poster on his Instagram.

The film has generated immense excitement among audiences ever since the release of a teaser video coinciding with actor Pawan Kalyan's birthday.

This teaser showcased the film's antagonist, composing a letter to OG (played by Pawan Kalyan), stating, "Dear OG, Anticipating our meeting, to converse and to eliminate you, your OMI. Happy birthday OG." The video further illustrates the antagonist brutally attacking his victims with a baseball bat, hinting at the fierce confrontations OG will face in the movie. Pawan Kalyan is also seen wielding a Japanese Katana sword toward the end, suggesting an intense showdown ahead.

The team heightened anticipation with a trailer released on Monday, revealing that gang wars have reignited in Mumbai. This time, all eyes are on gang lord Sathya, also known as Sathyanarayana. Fearing for his safety, he goes into hiding, leaving his crew in disarray. The only one capable of standing against the relentless foes stalking them is Ojas Gambheera (Pawan Kalyan), summoned back to Mumbai. The film revolves around what unfolds when OG returns to the city.

Directed by Sujeeth, They Call Him OG boasts a stellar cast including Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy in pivotal roles. Produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under the DVV Entertainment banner — the same powerhouse behind the global sensation RRR — OG is already being touted as the most significant cinematic event of 2025.

Cinematography is handled by Ravi K Chandran ISC and Manoj Paramahamsa ISC, with editing by Navin Nooli. Titled after its enigmatic lead, and featuring the tagline “They Call Him OG,” the film promises an overwhelming experience filled with action, intrigue, and chaos.

Initially scheduled for release on September 27 of last year, the film’s premiere was postponed. Now, it is set to hit theaters nearly a year later on September 25 this year.
