Mumbai, July 2 (NationPress) Comedian-turned-actor Harsh Gujral teamed up with Chitranshi Dhyani for an amusing new track titled "Cheater".
In an exclusive chat with IANS, Gujral shared his thoughts on how he would respond if he ever caught his partner being unfaithful.
When asked, "What would your immediate reaction be if your partner betrayed you? A slap or a cold breakup?" he humorously replied, "I’d slap myself and end the relationship. Why would I slap her? Someone who cheats might hit too!"
In contrast, Dhyani expressed her preference for a different tactic. "I prefer the silent treatment. I go completely quiet—no anger, no yelling. The other person often doesn’t even realize something's amiss—which is probably why I’ve never had a relationship!" she admitted.
Gujaul chimed in, "That’s right! My version of silence is humorous. People leave my life with a smile!"
He also shared his thoughts on what he would say if an ex wanted to return. "I’d tell her, ‘Bring a friend—we’ll have four people for carrom!’" he laughed.
When it came to the choice between love and loyalty, Gujral emphasized the importance of both, stating, "With loyalty, love follows. With love, loyalty follows. Without either, it’s chaos."
Discussing his involvement in the song, the actor from 'Mere Husband Ki Biwi' explained, "I was performing a stand-up show—comedy has become my life. She attended the show, and we had some fun roasting each other. Later, she reached out to me. The song was already in the works. I loved the vibe instantly; if I could dance to it, anyone could! I agreed right away, and we completed the shoot in fifteen days!"
On why he believes the track resonates with audiences, Gujral noted, "Especially Gen Z—they don’t take cheating seriously in the dating app era! We might be older, but this song appeals to everyone: Gen Z, millennials, and even older generations."
"Cheater" was officially released on June 29th this year.
