Mumbai, Nov 1 (NationPress) Actor Harshvardhan Rane, who is currently experiencing immense joy from the success of his romantic film “Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat”, has opened up about the profound influence behind his on-screen representation of love and heartbreak, revealing that his late father is the ultimate symbol of love and yearning in his life.

“The genuine icon of broken-hearted lovers that I have witnessed in my life, after training with him for 16 years, was my father. However, discussing him in an interview can easily be misinterpreted,” Harshvardhan shared with IANS.

“I observed this man after he divorced my mother; he made significant efforts to reconcile. Despite his endeavors, I could see the silent yearning he had for love and companionship even after their separation,” he reflected.

He fondly remembered how he would ensure his father wouldn’t feel uncomfortable knowing he was watching him navigate his feelings.

“Today, he is no longer with us, but I clearly saw his desire for that lost connection. As a child, I always made sure my father was unaware of my observations,” he added.

The 41-year-old actor noted that his father’s experiences greatly influenced his own perspectives on love and heartache.

“After my parents separated, I witnessed him attempt to find love five or six times with different individuals… all wonderful people. Yet, I have seen that intense longing. Therefore, for me, my father is the messiah of broken-hearted lovers,” he stated.

“Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat” is helmed by director Milap Zaveri and features a talented cast including Sonam Bajwa, Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, and Rajesh Khera. The film encapsulates the tumultuous journey of a powerful politician who becomes infatuated with a strong-willed superstar, leading to a passionate yet perilous romance filled with obsession, pride, and heartbreak.
