Mumbai, Aug 19 IANS) The city is currently submerged in water due to the relentless rainfall affecting the Maximum City. Yet, the resilience of Mumbaikars remains unshaken as they continue with their daily activities.

Famed television star Hina Khan expressed her admiration for the determination of Mumbai's residents, who maintain their routine despite challenging conditions.

Sharing a clip of a waterlogged road on her Instagram stories, Hina remarked: "No matter the circumstances, this city never halts. The Maximum City continues to thrive, even when shrouded in water, clouds, and mist. The heart of Mumbai beats through its indefatigable citizens, striving to earn a living in this pricey metropolis. Work, livelihood, hospital trips, shoots, and more... They cannot afford the luxury of staying home with a cup of chai and pakodas. Their resolve is unyielding."

In another story, she added: "In such heavy rain, the power connections are still holding strong; hats off to these individuals. The struggle is genuine, illustrating the typical shoot life—nothing can deter us. A salute to the spirit of Mumbai."

Her co-contestant from 'Pati, Patni Aur Panga', Gurmeet Choudhary, also provided a candid look at the situation on the streets via social media.

In a video, he mentioned: "We are on our way to a shoot, but the roads are severely flooded, and our vehicle is stuck. Several people have come to assist. They are helping everyone; the rain is pouring heavily, and we are unsure how to proceed."

"Only in Mumbai—stuck in torrential rains, with cars afloat, yet individuals on the streets are assisting one another. This is why we cherish this city. Stay safe, everyone," wrote the 'Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi' actor in his caption.

Abhinav Shukla also shared a video from his car, rain drenching his windscreen, stating, "Rain alert - Stay indoors or get soaked."

Mumbai has been experiencing persistent rainfall over the past few days, resulting in significant waterlogging throughout various locations in the city.
