Mumbai, May 8 (NationPress) Renowned for his performance in the legendary series ‘CID’, actor Hrishikesh Pandey has opened up about his formative years in the entertainment industry.
In a reflective moment, he confessed that he couldn’t always do complete justice to some of his earlier roles, recognizing the substantial growth he has achieved over the years as an actor. Hrishikesh stated, “There’s nothing like an ultimate role. Any role that’s significant, intense, and well-crafted—I'd be eager to perform it, on any platform. In the early stages, I took on various roles, and at that point, I felt I couldn’t fully embody some of those characters the way I can today.”
“I am definitely open to embracing different characters and roles. Whatever opportunities arise, I am excited to explore them. I won’t claim there’s one ultimate role or a dream role. However, I am committed to continuing my acting journey and producing quality work,” he added.
Hrishikesh further mentioned that he doesn’t have a specific actor or director he wishes to work with, as he believes that growth in this industry comes from ongoing evolution. Yet, he expressed his gratitude for having collaborated with many of Bollywood’s most iconic figures and remains receptive to new opportunities that may present themselves.
“Working alongside legends like Mr. (Amitabh) Bachchan was truly a dream come true. I’ve also had the privilege of meeting Lata Ji and forming a wonderful bond with her. Everything I envisioned in life—meeting certain people or forming close relationships—has always materialized. I’ve accomplished that, so now, I have no particular aspirations like ‘I want to meet this person’ or ‘I want to collaborate with this individual.’ I am eager to work with anyone who excels in their craft. If the narrative and my character are compelling, I’m all in,” Pandey expressed.
When discussing fame and wealth, the ‘Sanjivani’ actor emphasized that he has remained grounded. “I’ve observed many individuals getting swept away by fame and fortune, only to return to reality in the end. It’s advantageous to recognize this early so you don’t veer off course. Fame and success are fleeting. Ultimately, it’s about your character as a person.”
“Even if wealth or fame eludes me tomorrow, the people who genuinely know me will continue to support me—just as we stand by those who possess a good heart. That has always been my mission. I’ve adhered to the principle of not hurting anyone and doing good if possible—and if I can’t do good, at the very least, I refrain from causing harm,” Hrishikesh concluded.
Having been part of the industry for over two decades, Hrishikesh Pandey has appeared in numerous iconic shows, including “C.I.D.,” “Sanjivani,” “Raat Hone Ko Hai,” and “Piya Ka Ghar,” among others. He is currently reprising his role as Inspector Sachin in the second season of “C.I.D.”
