Mumbai, July 11 (NationPress) Actor Hrishikesh Pandey, recognized for his role in the classic series ‘C.I.D.’, has revealed that his passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle is deeply rooted in his family's military heritage.
The actor recently shared insights with IANS about his army upbringing, highlighting his father's involvement in wrestling, which instilled a strong emphasis on healthy choices in his life.
He stated, “Coming from an army family, discipline has been a fundamental part of my life. My father was a wrestler who would rise at 4:00 or 4:30 AM to run and exercise. I witnessed this during my childhood, but I wasn’t motivated then. I was quite lazy as a child. However, as I matured, I embraced that journey towards fitness. My father abstained from drinking and smoking, so those habits were ingrained in me from the start, and we upheld them.”
He elaborated that for him, fitness isn't just a fleeting trend; it’s a lifestyle that he has diligently pursued over the years.
“Even after 25-26 years, I still wear the same pants and jeans. Whether I'm on set or elsewhere, I make it a point to stay active. If I need to hike a mountain, I do it. If I need to swim, I swim. I always find ways to stay engaged in activities, and if I overdo it, I balance it out the following day,” he explained.
When discussing his preferred food, he said, “A nutritious meal for me is an egg. I can eat eggs at any time. If I’m hungry and have no options, I’ll grab a boiled or fried egg.”
“Be it an egg, an omelette, or bhurji, it’s always my go-to,” he added.
