Hrithik expressed that the affection, recognition, and support he garnered for portraying Kabir in "War" brought back memories of the admiration he received for "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai", "Dhoom 2", and "Krrish".
Reflecting on reprising the role of Kabir, Hrithik stated: "Returning as Kabir is a joy, and I hope fans love him even more this time. He’s more intense and faces greater dilemmas than before—truly emotional. I genuinely believe War 2 will be something you cannot afford to miss."
Although the journey of filming War 2 has been rewarding, it has not been without its hurdles for Hrithik. He faced significant injuries during production, yet he maintains that every ounce of struggle was worthwhile to deliver a film that resonates with audiences.
“Pushing through the pain and injuries was challenging. We dedicated ourselves fully. All the struggles during the filming of War 2 have been justified. In moments of pain, I questioned if it was all worth it—yet, witnessing the love for this project confirms it absolutely is,” shared the "Super 30" star.
The film's creators aim to premiere War 2 in Hindi and Telugu at Dolby Cinema venues across North America, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, among other international markets.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, integrating the film into the Yash Raj YRF Spy Universe.
In addition to Hrithik, this action-packed film will feature Kiara Advani and NTR in leading roles, marking the Bollywood debut of the "RRR" star.
War 2 is set to hit theaters on August 14th in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
