Is Suhas the Antagonist in Soori's 'Mandaadi'?

Chennai, May 6 (NationPress) Telugu actor Suhas has recently unveiled his first look in the upcoming Tamil film 'Mandaadi', directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendi. He has clarified that his role in the film is solely that of the antagonist, while actor Soori takes on the role of the protagonist.

On Monday, the production team for 'Mandaadi' shared the first look poster of Suhas, which also marks the initial glimpse of the film's Telugu version.

RS Infotainment, the production house behind the film, announced on their X timeline: "All it needs is a tsunami to awaken your fighting spirit. Here’s the exciting Telugu First Look of the film #Mandaadi. @sooriofficial and @ActorSuhas are ready to Ride & Rule the Sea."

In response to this announcement, Suhas expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Here is the first look of #Mandaadi. I am eager to ride and rule the sea alongside @sooriofficial anna."

However, some social media posts led to confusion, suggesting that both Suhas and Soori were protagonists in the film.

To clarify this misunderstanding, Suhas took to his X timeline on Tuesday and shared, "Hello, I would like to clarify regarding my role in the upcoming Tamil film #Mandaadi, which will also see a Telugu release. Contrary to the rumors, I will be portraying the Antagonist, while Soori anna is the Protagonist."

The talented actress Mahima Nambiar, recognized for her outstanding performances in films such as 'Asuraguru', 'Magamuni', and the biopic of Sri Lankan cricketer Muthaiah Muralidharan, '800', will play the female lead in 'Mandaadi'. The film will also feature actor Sathyaraj in a significant role.

Additionally, actress Sachana, who gained fame through her appearance on the Tamil reality show Bigg Boss, along with well-known Kannada actor Achuyuth Kumar, has also been cast in the film.

The title poster of the film depicts a ship engulfed in flames at sea.

Actor Soori recently shared the title poster on his X timeline, stating, "Mandaadi. When the sea hides secrets, only the fire can unveil its stories. First Look coming Tomorrow. The vast sea holds endless secrets, and only the flames can reveal its narratives."

The film boasts an exceptional technical team. Actor and music director G V Prakash Kumar will compose the music, while S R Kathir will handle cinematography. Pradeep E Ragav will manage the editing, and Peter Hein will choreograph the stunts.

Soori will star in the titular role of Mandaadi, accompanied by sound design from Prathap and VFX by a team led by Harihara Suthan. Choreography for the film's dances will be managed by Azar.

Renowned director Vetrimaran will serve as the creative producer for this cinematic venture, which is being produced by Elred Kumar of R S Infotainment.
