Chennai, Sep 21 (NationPress) Actor and director Dhanush, known for his role as a character running an idly shop in the forthcoming film 'Idli Kadai', has openly shared that he had aspirations of becoming a chef.
During the trailer launch event held in Coimbatore, Dhanush remarked, "I am unsure why I keep landing chef roles. My dream was to cook, and perhaps because of this passion, I continue to receive films and roles in that vein. In Jagame Thandiram, I prepared parottas, in Thiruchitrambalam, I portrayed a delivery boy, and in Raayan, I owned a fast food establishment. Now, in this film, I am making Idlis. Whenever I pen a script for myself, I find a chef role, and even when directors approach me, they seem to envision me in similar roles. I believe this is a result of manifestation."
He further elaborated, "What you envision, you become. The power of manifestation has trailed me even after I became an actor. Young individuals should manifest their goals and believe they have already attained them. They must put in the effort to realize their dreams. Anyone can achieve what they desire in life by staying focused on their objectives and working diligently. I am simply sharing my personal experiences."
Dhanush described 'Idli Kadai' as a straightforward and modest film. "However, it is an emotional story that the whole family can enjoy together," he shared with his fans.
For those unfamiliar, Idli Kadai is co-produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and Dawn Pictures. The film was initially set to release worldwide on April 10 of this year, but the release has been rescheduled to October 1.
Reports suggest that Arun Vijay plays the villain in the film, creating anticipation for the confrontation between Dhanush and Arun Vijay.
Shalini Pandey is also expected to play a significant role, as speculated in various media outlets.
Directed by Dhanush himself, 'Idli Kadai' stars Dhanush and Nithya Menon in lead roles, features cinematography by Kiran Koushik, and music by G V Prakash.
