Chennai, April 24 (NationPress) Actress Imanvi, who stars as the female lead in director Hanu Raghavapudi's forthcoming film alongside actor Prabhas, has recently made a statement to deny rumors that suggested her father was affiliated with the Pakistani military.

Scheduled to mark her debut in Telugu cinema with the film, tentatively called #PrabhasHanu project, she shared her statement on her Instagram account.

Imanvi began her message by offering her heartfelt condolences regarding the tragic event that occurred in Pahalgam.

"My heart goes out to all those who lost their lives and their loved ones. Any loss of innocent life is tragic and weighs heavy on my heart. I strongly condemn the violent acts. As someone whose mission has always been to spread light and love through art, I hope to see a day soon where we can all come together as one," she stated before addressing the rumors surrounding her identity and family background.

"I also want to confront the falsehoods and rumors that have been circulated about my identity and family through unreliable news sources and online platforms, aiming to create division and promote hate. Firstly, nobody in my family has ever been or is currently associated with the Pakistani military. This and numerous other false claims have been fabricated by online trolls solely to incite hate," the actress expressed, voicing her disappointment that even credible news outlets, journalists, and social media users have failed to investigate these claims and instead merely echoed these defamatory statements.

Imanvi continued, "I am a proud Indian American fluent in Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati, and English. I was born in Los Angeles, California after my parents legally immigrated to the United States as young individuals. They soon became American citizens. After completing my university education in the USA, I embarked on a career in the arts as an actor, choreographer, and dancer."

Expressing gratitude for the opportunities she has received in the Indian film industry, she added, "This same film industry has greatly influenced my life, and I aspire to contribute to the remarkable legacy of the trailblazers who came before me. As someone with a deep connection to Indian identity and culture, I aim to use this platform as a medium for unity rather than division."

The actress concluded her statement by saying, "As we mourn the tragic loss of life, let us continue to spread love and uplift one another. Throughout history, art has served as a medium that fosters awareness, empathy, and connection across cultures, people, and experiences. I will strive to ensure that this legacy persists through my work and elevates the experiences of my Indian heritage. Lots of love, Imanvi."
