Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Chennai, February 5 (NationPress) Renowned actress and voice artist Raveena Ravi, celebrated for her remarkable roles in popular Tamil and Malayalam cinema including 'Love Today' and 'Maamannan', has recently addressed authorities via Instagram, pleading for protection against individuals she claims have been stalking and harassing her, her family, and friends for the past three years.
In her Instagram post, she shared images of two individuals alongside what she alleges are their posts, stating, "PUBLIC AWARENESS: DO NOT IGNORE. I am sharing this to safeguard my family, friends, and myself from a stalker who has targeted us for three years."
She continued, "I have remained silent, hoping that police reports and warnings would deter this behavior. Regrettably, an individual named Sabarish and his twin brother persist in their harassment of me and my loved ones. They employ vile language in their messages and comments, not only directed at me but also at those close to me. I sincerely apologize to my friends and family who have had to endure this due to my situation. Despite attempting legal recourse, the harassment continues unabated."
Furthermore, the actress revealed, "This individual seems to operate from numerous accounts, devising ways to stalk and harass not just me but various other women in the industry, fabricating stories of 'previous encounters' and 'fixed marriages.'"
Asserting that it is time to confront this issue publicly, she urged, "I ask you all to: 1. Block and report his profile. 2. Stay vigilant if you receive messages from him or his brother. 3. Refrain from engaging with their comments or messages."
Raveena concluded, "Chennai is often regarded as one of the safest cities for women in India. I genuinely hope that the authorities take action against such individuals to demonstrate that this city is secure for everyone. @mkstalin @ncwindia @tnpoliceofficial @tncybercrimeoff @chennaitrafficpolice @st_brosephs."
