Mumbai, Nov 24 (NationPress) Faridkot, the renowned indie duo comprising IP Singh and Rajarshi Sanyal, has launched their latest EP titled “Nayi Baat”, which features five captivating tracks.

This new release epitomizes the band's musical transformation. With tracks such as “Harjai,” “Nayi Baat,” “Sawaari,” “Aza,” and “Jaadugari,” the EP showcases a varied sound palette and invites listeners to experience innovative ideas. The duo expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “Nayi Baat, as the name indicates, is a culmination of numerous new concepts.”

“The variety of sounds in the album is extensive, and we thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating this EP. It’s akin to a short novel, with each song narrating a segment of the tale. At the heart of Faridkot's philosophy is our commitment to explore new sounds and lyrics. This quest ignited the inspiration for this EP,” they added.

Reflecting on their origins, the duo noted, “Storytelling through our music has always been our passion, and we love to delve into different genres to convey these stories. Once we embraced this idea, everything else flowed naturally… the desire and drive to create music and tell stories became so consuming that we just kept pursuing it.” This authenticity has been pivotal in crafting beloved tracks like Jeda Nasha, Kaala Doriyaa, and Laila, which gained popularity through genuine listener appreciation. When asked what makes their music resonate, they shared, “The audience is astute and can detect inauthenticity… We strive to share music that we are deeply connected with and believe in.”

The band elaborated, “The music creation process remains relatively consistent. However, the key difference lies in aligning our vision with that of the director and producer… it’s a broader collaboration that requires considering everyone’s input, while still delivering something original that resonates with us personally.”
