New Delhi, April 10 (NationPress) Television actress Isha Malviya expressed her astonishment regarding the film industry, highlighting that numerous exceptionally gifted individuals are not provided with equal opportunities.
In a discussion with IANS, Isha, who made her acting debut in 2021 with the television series "Udaariyaan", remarked, “One aspect that has continually astonished me is the fact that so many incredibly talented people are denied equal opportunities. While I don’t believe nepotism is entirely negative, I do think that those from outside the industry deserve at least one genuine chance to showcase their abilities.”
The actress emphasized that the industry should concentrate on genuine talent.
“Allow them to compete alongside star kids and let the audience determine who rightfully deserves to shine. The industry must prioritize true talent, irrespective of background, and shape the future of Bollywood based on merit,” she stated.
Following her role in "Udaariyaan", where she portrayed the character of Jasmine, Isha participated in the 17th installment of the controversial reality show “Bigg Boss” in 2023. She also appeared in music videos, including "Paon Ki Jutti", and collaborated with Gauahar Khan on the show Lovely Lolla.
When asked whether it’s more challenging to portray a character vastly different from herself or one that closely mirrors her own persona, she said, “It offers me a unique kind of joy and truly enhances my confidence. I take pride in being a versatile actress capable of tackling any role. Honestly, I have never hesitated while playing any character; that has never crossed my mind.”
On a lighter note, the actress shared her guilty pleasure, stating, “Certainly indulging in numerous desserts—even though I probably shouldn’t due to my need to maintain my physique. But it’s alright occasionally.”
When asked what title she would give to a movie about her life, she replied, “If there were a film based on my life, it would definitely be titled Yeh Ladki Pagal Hai.
