Mumbai, Oct 12 (NationPress) New mother Ishita Dutta recently opened up about her distressing experience with post-postpartum hair loss in a heartfelt social media update.
In a video shared on her Instagram, the 'Drishyam' star expressed her worries about the significant hair loss she has been experiencing following her pregnancy.
She stated, "I am perplexed by the myriad of issues associated with pregnancy and delivery. It could be such a beautiful experience if not for the added complications stemming from hormonal changes. Whether it’s post-postpartum depression or hair loss, women face a lot during this time."
Ishita showcased a hairbrush brimming with hair, illustrating the alarming extent of her hair loss after welcoming her baby girl.
While combing her hair in her car, she was taken aback by the amount of hair collected on the brush, prompting her to stop mid-combing.
She shared that her doctor indicated that the hair loss might result from various factors. Ishita captioned her post, "This has been the most severe hair fall I have ever faced… primarily postpartum, but there are other contributing factors as advised by my doctors, which I will discuss in detail soon… (sic)."
"I can’t predict how long this phase will last or how much hair I might lose, but I realize it’s just a temporary situation. To all the mothers facing postpartum challenges, I genuinely empathize with what you are enduring and I’m sending you all my love… (❤️)," she added.
For context, Ishita welcomed her first child, a son, with husband Vatsal Sheth in July 2023.
In June of this year, the couple joyfully became parents for the second time, welcoming a daughter.
