Mumbai, Nov 20 (NationPress) The couple Ishita Dutta and Vatsal Sheth experienced an amusing parenting moment when their attempt to delight their son Vayu with an up-close experience of airplanes went hilariously wrong.
They took to Instagram to post a video recounting the comical yet heartwarming chaos, which surprisingly turned out to be a hidden blessing.
In the video, Ishita expressed their excitement, mentioning how they planned to visit a nearby hotel rooftop that offered a perfect view of planes taking off and landing.
She shared: “Something amusing has occurred. Let's start from the top. Vayu is obsessed with airplanes and helicopters. So, we figured, let's take him to the airport today. Not the airport, but to a hotel nearby. Fairfield has this rooftop area where you can see landings and take-offs.”
Ishita noted that their son Vayu, who has a fascination for aircraft, was all set with his toy collection and filled with “full excitement”.
“We brought Vayu since morning, and he was very thrilled. He had his airplanes and helicopter. But upon arriving, not a single plane was in the sky. We thought maybe there would be a few flights today.”
Ishita reminisced about waiting for over 15 to 20 minutes before they discovered that the airport was closed for the entire day due to maintenance.
“Not a single plane was taking off or landing. Then we made a call and found out the airport was under maintenance and shut for the whole day, which I've never heard of. I was like, are you serious? I couldn't help but laugh,” she recounted.
Vatsal chimed in with a playful apology on camera, saying, “I find it very amusing because... Sorry, Vayu. Sorry, poor Vayu.”
With their plan grounded, Ishita mentioned that Vayu ended up playing inside the hotel instead. She promised to bring him back another day.
“Now, he’s playing in the hotel since there’s nothing else to do. But I will definitely bring him back because I really wanted him to see the planes. But, I think I need better luck,” Ishita stated.
To this, Vatsal added: “Thanks to this, we can go for a coffee date.”
The couple captioned the video: “Parenting: Expectation vs Reality”
Ishita and Vatsal met on the set of their show Rishton Ka Saudagar - Baazigar in 2016. They tied the knot in 2017 in Mumbai and welcomed their son Vayu in 2023.
