Mumbai, March 27 (NationPress) Singer-actress Iulia Vantur honored the memory of the iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar by performing the classic song 'Lag Ja Gale' in the forthcoming film 'Sikandar', starring Salman Khan.

The original composition, “Lag Jaa Gale”, hails from the 1964 movie “Woh Kaun Thi”, featuring noteworthy actors such as Manoj Kumar, Sadhana, Helen, Prem Chopra, K.N.Singh, Mohan Choti, and Dhumal.

The recently unveiled trailer provides a sneak peek, showcasing Rashmika Mandanna performing the song. This rendition by Iulia demonstrates her exceptional musical talent.

"The first time I heard Lag Ja Gale sung by the legendary Lata Ji, it resonated deeply with me. I started learning my initial sargams and Indian classical music, driven by the desire to perform this incredible song someday. It’s my cherished classic Hindi tune, deserving to be passed down through generations, as it is a true treasure of Indian music,” stated Iulia.

“When I seek relaxation, I sing this song, entering a state of bliss. It possesses a unique quality that profoundly affects me—and undoubtedly many others too.
