Mumbai, Aug 20 (NationPress) Embracing the title of a “green crusader”, Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has revealed that his connection with plants has instilled in him a sense of patience and kept him grounded.

In a conversation with IANS regarding the influence of gardening and nature on his mental and emotional health, Jackie expressed: “Being referred to as a 'Plant Zaddy' is truly a badge of honour. Plants have imparted valuable lessons of patience and grounding.”

“Plants shape you into a better person, bhidu. That’s a powerful realization, boss. My children and I share this passion for plants, and that’s the greatest gift,” shared the actor, who proudly serves as the brand ambassador for Ugaoo, a gardening company.

When discussing the origins of his love for plants, he said: “I’ve proudly been a green crusader for years, surrounded by plants and with mitti (soil) on my hands. I often bring a sapling as my companion to events.”

He is now a strong advocate for organic farming.

“Currently, on my farm, I’m fully focused on farming and striving to be as organic as possible. It’s about clean eating, living close to the mitti, and honoring our roots. Ugaoo is doing something remarkable: they’re not merely selling plants; they’re enlightening people on the why and how… They are spreading knowledge, making our collaboration feel right. Plants are vital for life, not just décor,” he told IANS.

On the acting front, Jackie’s newest project is “Hunter 2”, where he plays the role of the antagonist, 'The Salesman', in the action-packed drama’s second season.

Discussing the series, the stakes elevate as Vikram receives a chilling call from his presumed-dead daughter, revealing she is with the mysterious salesman.

Directed by Prince Dhiman in collaboration with Alok Batra, this action entertainer also features Anusha Dandekar and Barkha Bisht in pivotal roles, among others.
