Mumbai, Nov 28 (NationPress) Bollywood actor Jaideep Ahlawat is excited to share the screen with the legendary Dharmendra in his forthcoming film 'Ikkis'. In an interview with IANS, the actor spoke about this remarkable opportunity, stating, “To be in the same frame with him is a moment that should be etched in history. It’s a monumental occasion in my life to work alongside a legend like Dharmendra, even though I am from a different era. This is a significant achievement for me.”

He expressed, “I wish I could have collaborated on five or ten more films with him, but sadly, he is no longer with us.” Ahlawat continued, “Every word I share about him comes from such an extraordinary experience that I feel there’s nothing more to add. He was part of my journey, and his affection will remain with me forever! The entire nation will feel his absence.”

For those unaware, Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. His demise has left the entire country, particularly the Bollywood fraternity, in mourning. On the same day, Jaideep Ahlawat took to social media to pay a heartfelt tribute to the late actor.

Along with a picture that included both him and the late icon, Jaideep wrote, “Kuch nahi hai aisa jo keh paaunga. Bas itna ki aapne jo pyar diya mujhe unn thode se dino main. Main woh Umar Bhar yaad rakhunga, Sir. Aap bahut yaad aayenge. (There’s nothing I can say. Just this – the love you showed me in those few days will be cherished for a lifetime, Sir. You will be dearly missed).”

He added, “This world will long for the one and only Jatt Yamla Pagla Deewana. Rest in peace, Dharam ji @aapkadharam.” It’s important to note that around mid-November, Dharmendra was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.

On November 27, the Deol family hosted a prayer gathering to honor Dharmendra and celebrate his legacy, attended by numerous prominent figures from Bollywood.
