Key Takeaways
Chennai, Jan 11 (NationPress) The producers of the eagerly awaited comedy film 'Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil', directed by Nithish Sahadev and starring Jiiva in the lead role, officially unveiled the movie's trailer during a lavish event at the Prasad lab in Chennai on Sunday.
During the trailer launch, Jiiva shared that this project marks his 45th film and was filmed within 45 days in a picturesque village nestled in the Western Ghats.
The movie, produced by Kannan Ravi, centers around the events leading up to a wedding and was predominantly filmed during the night.
“We spent 40 nights filming. The location was stunning, and the entire crew functioned like a big family. It was a delightful experience. By the end of filming, many of us felt a sense of loss that it was over. The locals, some of whom appeared in the film, had begun to treat us like family and showered us with blessings as we departed. They must be hoping that this film achieves great success upon release,” Jiiva remarked.
Jiiva also revealed that they initially planned to release the film on January 30, but opted to move the release date up to coincide with the festival, filling a gap left by the postponement of Vijay's film 'Jana Nayagan'.
In a conversation with IANS, Jiiva explained, “The story explores a conflict that arises between two families, with me portraying a village Panchayat chief who mediates the issues.”
Alongside Jiiva, the film features a talented cast, including Thambi Ramaiya, Ilavarasu, Prathana Nathan, Jensen Dhivakar, Jaiwanth, Meenakshi, Sarjin Kumar, Rajesh Pandian, Subash Kannan, Anuraj OB, Sharath, and Savithri.
The screenplay is crafted by Sanjo Joseph, Nithish Sahadev, and Anuraj OB, with Lipin Unni serving as the creative director.
The film's score is composed by Vishnu Vijay, with cinematography handled by Bablu Aju. The editing is done by Arjune Babu, and the art direction is led by Sunil Kumaran.
