Did Julia Roberts Just Change Her Rider After Watching a Film?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Los Angeles, Jan 8 (NationPress) The renowned Hollywood star Julia Roberts has disclosed her intention to revamp her rider for 2026 after watching George Clooney's latest film ‘Jay Kelly’.
In this film, George portrays an aging actor who unexpectedly finds a piece of cheesecake at every location due to it being included in his requests without his consent, despite his dislike for the dessert. Julia has now stated that the film resonates with her own experiences, as she is constantly surrounded by almonds at every event she attends, according to reports from ‘Female First UK’.
She expressed to Deadline, “There’s either a massive bag or a large bowl of raw almonds. I have no clue why. I enjoy them, but not in such large quantities. They seem to follow me everywhere. It’s quite amusing.”
Julia also mentioned that she has already contacted her team to have almonds removed from her rider moving forward.
She added, “After watching ‘Jay Kelly’, I recently sent an email stating, ‘In the new year, I would truly like to reassess any and all riders that involve me, as I believe it’s time to make some changes regarding the almonds’.”
According to ‘Female First UK’, George had previously shared that he also connected with the cheesecake storyline due to a similar incident involving apples.
He recounted to USA Today, “I recall being in New York and my driver was frustrated with me. I asked him what was wrong. He said, ‘Look, George, I searched everywhere for Fuji apples. I couldn’t find them’. Someone had once asked me if I wanted something to eat in my trailer, and I casually mentioned apples. When they asked if I had a preference, I said, ‘I don’t know, Fuji?’ Since it was the only one I could think of. Suddenly, it was included in my rider, and people were going to great lengths to find Fuji apples for me. I had to say, ‘Remove that. You’re out of your mind.’”
He continued, “A bit of this happens inadvertently as people try to be accommodating. Some actors demand, ‘I will only eat green M&Ms’, which is just ridiculous. I grew up in Kentucky, and we generally avoid trailers. That’s not the be-all and end-all for me, even if it’s in a double-wide on set.”
