Discussing the project, Kankana shared, 'Re-routing' stemmed from a profound inquiry — what unfolds when two individuals, each trapped in their emotional labyrinths, intersect by chance? For me, this film transcends the bounds of a psychological thriller; it embodies a contemplation on the potential for grace amid the darkest facets of human existence. I aimed to delve into how a solitary night, a transient meeting, can act as a catalyst for emotional recalibration — a re-routing of fate itself.
Lead actor Barun Chanda remarked, 'There was something profoundly unsettling yet compelling about the character I portray in 'Re-routing'. He is a man of few words, yet harbors a tempest within. As an actor, it was a rare opportunity to occupy a space where silence resonates louder than dialogue. Kankana’s vision required a sense of restraint, introspection, and ultimately, honesty. It was an honor to contribute to a narrative that doesn’t scream but instead lingers in the mind long after it concludes.'
