Mumbai, Sep 27 (NationPress) Actress Rukmini Vasanth, who is set to appear in the eagerly awaited film “Kantara: Chapter 1,” recently shared her aspirations while reflecting on her journey thus far. The film, directed by Rishab Shetty, is scheduled for a spectacular release on October 2 across multiple languages including Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, and English.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Rukmini expressed her enthusiasm for potential opportunities in Bollywood. She stated that she is open to taking on projects if the right chance presents itself, expressing particular interest in collaborating with renowned production houses like Dharma Productions.

When discussing Hindi cinema, she remarked, “Absolutely. Dharma films are fundamental to what we consider classic cinema. If given a chance, I would never decline.”

She continued, “There are numerous beautiful aspects to explore in that arena. Can audiences anticipate my presence there? I’m uncertain. But I remain hopeful! Am I eager to venture into it? Yes, absolutely. As for my wishlist regarding banners, directors, or actors, I’m not currently focused on that.”

Rukmini further elaborated on how the pandemic reshaped her perspective, stating, “COVID taught me to be present. I have intentions and hopes, and I wish to explore the world with that mindset. I aspire to be part of an incredible, enjoyable, dramatic, or beautiful love story in Hindi cinema. Let’s see what unfolds. Post-COVID-19, I primarily focus on the present.”

In “Kantara: Chapter 1,” Rukmini portrays Kanakavathi, a regal and intense character, whose first look was unveiled during the Varamahalakshmi festival. The film serves as a prequel to the hit 2022 film Kantara, delving into the mythological origins and narrative layers that contributed to the original's cultural impact.

While speaking with IANS, Rukmini praised her experience working with filmmaker-actor Rishab Shetty, describing the collaboration as exhilarating and indescribable. She commended his remarkable multitasking skills and unwavering focus on every detail on set. From memorizing his lines to tracking continuity, costumes, makeup, and factual accuracy, Shetty maintained complete control without missing any details.

For Rukmini, it was truly inspiring to witness him manage all facets of filmmaking effortlessly. Already recognized for her impressive performances in Kannada films like “Sapta Sagaradaache Ello” (Side A & B) and “Bagheera,” Rukmini Vasanth stands on the verge of achieving pan-India fame.

As “Kantara: Chapter 1” approaches its release, her candid interest in Bollywood opportunities indicates that her career journey is only set to expand.
