Mumbai, June 22 (NationPress) In a delightful twist of fate, actor-comedian Kapil Sharma once made an unexpected entrance at a wedding, where he had an unforgettable encounter with Zeenat Aman. This amusing tale was recently revisited during a segment of Kapil's show, featuring him alongside the legendary actresses Zeenat Aman and Poonam Dhillon.
During the episode, Kapil recounted, “It was around 2003 or 2004. I was in Delhi while my father was receiving treatment. A friend urged me to join a wedding, claiming, ‘There are tons of people here’. The wedding was held at Maurya in Delhi, hosted by Vandana Luthra, daughter of a family in the cosmetic industry.”
He added, gesturing towards the actress, “You were present there. I was quite naive at the time, just a college student. With a plate in my hand, I wanted to snap a photo. Zeenat kindly asked me to set the plate down, as I was unaware that it was deemed impolite to take a photo while holding a plate. I was an uninvited guest.”
In a previous post, Zeenat Aman reminisced about her role in ‘Hum Kisise Kum Naheen’. On her Instagram, she shared a clip from the film and explained the story behind her solitary scene.
She also wrote a lengthy caption stating, “Oh, you’re a fan of Hindi cinema but haven't heard this song? That’s likely because you’re quite young. Play it for your parents, and they’ll recognize it immediately. Here’s the reality: among all the men I worked with from the Kapoor family, Rishi and I had the least interaction both socially and professionally. In fact, throughout our overlapping careers, we were featured together only in this one song, thanks to Director Nasir Hussain, who considered me a bit of a lucky charm that year. Why? Because ‘Yaadon ki Baaraat’, my previous collaboration with him, was a massive success.”
