Mumbai, Nov 13 (NationPress) The renowned filmmaker Karan Johar expressed his enthusiasm on social media as “Homebound” marked its international journey with a special screening in Los Angeles.
The event saw the presence of Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, alongside the film’s talented cast and crew. Sharing his appreciation, Karan conveyed his excitement to have Bela and her team at this significant occasion. On Thursday, he shared several images on his Instagram featuring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa, and Bela, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan.

The storyline revolves around two friends from a small village in North India who aspire to become police officers, hoping that the profession will earn them the respect they desire. The film debuted globally in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on May 21, where it reportedly received a nine-minute standing ovation. “Homebound” was later selected as India’s official entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the 98th Academy Awards and hit theatres on September 26, 2025.
